Through a freezing process and the use of LED light, the author gives a second life to fruits and vegetables that would otherwise lose their original function, transforming them into small lamps with intense, vibrant colors. The cold crystallizes their substance, while the light passes through their fibers, revealing unexpected textures, transparencies, and tonal variations. These “still lifes,” though seemingly inanimate, acquire a renewed presence. Their organic forms, suspended between randomness and suggestion, evoke familiar faces, expressions, and characters. Each element appears to hint at an identity, as if the material itself were concealing a hidden personality.
The result lies between irony and contemplation: everyday objects become luminous, fragile, and temporary figures, capable of reshaping the viewer’s perception and inviting us to recognize the poetic potential within even the simplest things.
